Twitch superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has recently started to turn off his camera while streaming for a unique reason.

Ninja is being considerate of his Muslim audience by hiding his face whenever he’s eating on stream out of respect for any viewers who are fasting during Ramadan.

Ramadan is one of the most important months of the year in the Muslim calendar. For 30 straight days, Muslims around the world stop eating or drinking from dawn to sunset to devote themselves to their faith.

Ninja’s choice to disable his webcam while eating on stream is one of the most sincere and considerate acts he could do for his Muslim viewers. It shows the lengths that he’s willing to go to for his fans.

Ninja will likely continue to do this during streams until Ramadan officially ends on June 4. This means we might see a little less of Ninja’s face on stream over the course of the next few weeks while he continues to try to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup.
