The inevitable update is on its way soon.

The recently confirmed Feb. 19 release date for the PUBG Mobile update 0.11.0 is almost here, with Tencent announcing server maintenance would be happening today.

The message from the publisher told fans that servers would be down starting at 12am to 8am UT, so for stateside players, it took place from 6pm to 2am CT starting the evening of Feb. 17.

In this new update, players will be able to play the new Survive Till Dawn Mode, which is a collaboration with Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 franchise that will bring creatures, music, and other features over to transform PUBG into a tense, horror-type experience. Along with that mode, many other features and quality of life changes will also be brought over from the beta servers.

The full patch notes that were being tested can be found on the PUBG Mobile Reddit, but here is the list of main additions from that thread.

  • Added RE2: Sunset, a new time-limited event mode. Fight to survive as usual on Erangel, but Zombies and Bosses from Resident Evil 2 will also spawn on the map! Kill them to get resources and items.
  • Added Resident Evil 2 main menu theme and music.
  • Added weather: Moonlight to Vikendi.
  • Added Personal Spaces, where player information and Connections are displayed. Select a friend with Synergy 400 or above as Partner to stand by your side in your Space!
  • Added push-to-talk chat in matches.
  • Sanhok is now available in Arcade – Quick Match.
  • Added a PC feature: damage stacking outside of safe zone. The further away players are from the safe zone, the more damage they take.
  • Added feature form our PC counterpart: Air raid adjustment. In Sanhok and Vinkendi, the size of the air raid area is reduced as the safe zone reduces in size.

Lower end devices will also have an easier time running the game as the update will help fix some bugs that affected the terrain and caused glitching assets.

After the update was complete, players reported that nothing looked or felt any different during their time playing, meaning that the devs are holding all of the changes for the launch rather than rolling it out slowly.

It is unknown when the update will officially roll out on Feb. 19, but when it does the number of players picking up the game will likely rise immensely over the following days.
