PUBG: Black Budget is an upcoming extraction shooter developed by PUBG Studios, the team behind the iconic PUBG: Battlegrounds, and there’s a Closed Alpha scheduled later this year.

The upcoming title features a first-person perspective with intense PvPvE gameplay (like Escape From Tarkov or Arena Breakout Infinite) set on a mysterious two and a half square kilometer island trapped in a time loop, called Coli. You must explore abandoned research facilities and scavenge top-secret technology while facing hostile players and environmental threats.

PUBG: Black Budget Closed Alpha schedule

PUBG: Black Budget Closed Alpha is split across two weekends in December 2025:

  • Weekend 1: Dec. 12 from 3am CT to Dec. 14 ending at 1:59am CT
  • Weekend 2: Dec. 19 from 3am CT to Dec. 21 ending at 1:59am CT

These test sessions extend over six days in total, and provide a chance to experience early-game systems, including combat pacing, extraction mechanics, raid bosses, hideout customization, gear upgrades, threats such as mutants, crocodiles, flying bees, and more.

Eligible regions for Closed Alpha

The closed alpha is limited to North America, Europe, and Asia regions only. Players outside these regions will not have access to the closed alpha at this stage.

The alpha supports multiple languages, including English, Korean, Russian, and Chinese.

How to register for PUBG: Black Budget Closed Alpha

Registration for the closed alpha is exclusively through Steam. Here’s how to sign up:

  1. Sign in to your Steam account via the Steam client or a web browser.
  2. Search for “PUBG: Black Budget” on the Steam store page.
  3. Locate the green Request Access button.
  4. Click this button and confirm your request in the pop-up dialogue.
  5. Wait for a confirmation email or notification from Steam if you are selected to participate.

Remember, using this method won’t guarantee you entry, as the alpha slots are limited and competitive. For guaranteed access, you can watch the test on Twitch and Chzzk to earn keys through drops.
