Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek returned to streaming PUBG after a brief hiatus only to be surprised by a suicide bomber during a stream yesterday.
Shroud and his team were crossing a bridge on the Erangel map during a match in which he was showing off his new mutant skin. While passing some destroyed cars, a player is waiting for them and leaps out with an explosive to try and take out their vehicle.
Although Shroud and his car were able to avoid the bomber, another teammate on a motorcycle was taken out by the blast. The motorcycle then hilariously continues along the bridge while on fire from the explosion. Shroud and his teammates were surprised by the act and could only laugh about the whole event.
“I’ve never seen that before,” one of Shroud’s teammates said.
Watching the clip can bring up some questions about the convenience of the whole situation. The bomber is clearly lying in wait in the perfect location at the right time.
This has led some to believe that the player could be a Twitch “stream sniper,” a player who watches streamers and plans to take them out specifically. This is far from the first time this has happened to Shroud—alleged stream snipers were banned for committing similar acts in the past.
