How to watch the $500,000 Secret Skirmish Fortnite event

It's not much of a secret anymore.

The latest Fortnite: Battle Royale esports event has officially begun.

Epic Games revealed the Secret Skirmish event in a blog post on Jan. 18. The tournament will be a two-day invitational on Feb. 14 to 15. It will feature a $500,000 prize pool and “top players from each Open Fortnite competition held so far,” according to Epic.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Secret Skirmish event.

Schedule

The Secret Skirmish will take place over two days. The first day, Feb. 14, will feature the $100,000 Duos tournament. The $400,000 Solo event will begin on Feb. 15. The action for both days will kick off at 3pm CT.

Format

For the Duos tournament, players will compete in six matches. Points will be given out for acquiring a specific amount of kills, high placings, or Victory Royales.

Here’s the points breakdown for the Duos tournament.

  • Victory Royale: Three points
  • Second and third place: Two points
  • Fourth and fifth place: One point
  • Eight or more kills: Three points
  • Six or seven kills: Two points
  • Four or five kills: One point
  • Generous bonus: After eight kills, each subsequent elimination with award one extra point.

The Solo tournament on Feb. 15 will also feature six matches. Points will be awarded in the following way:

  • Victory Royale: Three points
  • Second and third place: Two points
  • Fourth through 10th place: One point
  • Seven or more kills: Three points
  • Five or six kills: Two points
  • Three or four kills: One point
  • Generous bonus: After seven kills, each subsequent elimination with award one extra point.

Ten participants will be in the money for the Duos competition, while 20 Solo players will receive prizes. A full list of the competitors can be found on Epic’s website.
