NBA 2K25: Best jumpshots for each player height

Cash money.

Whether you’re a small guard or a seven-foot tall center, having a good jumpshot is always an advantage in MyCAREER. But why settle for good when you can have the best jumpshot in NBA 2K25?

Jumpshots consist of three elements—the shot’s base and two upper releases. You can either split the upper releases between two players or stick with the same animation for both. Opting for the former gives you the chance to further tune the animation in favor of one upper release, but sometimes, keeping it simple is better.

We will guide you to the best jumpshots in NBA 2K25 for each height, giving you that buttery smooth motion and the stats to back it up. Since these are the cream of the crop, you will have to invest a lot in your shooting attributes before you can equip them, but trust us, the grind will be worth it in the end.

All of the stats shown are with Release Speed manually turned all the way up. This not only gives you a theoretical competitive advantage but also allows for more flexibility with shot bases and upper releases.

Other things you can do to improve your shooting percentage are to turn the NBA 2K25 shot meter off—that will increase the window for perfect shot releases, and set your Shot Timing Profile to High Risk-Reward. You can do that via the Controller Settings tab in the Settings menu. High Risk-Reward gives you an additional accuracy boost for perfectly timed jumpshots, but penalizes you for mistiming the jumper, so only use this trick if you’re confident in your abilities.

Stats aren’t everything, and you won’t truly know just how good these jumpshots feel in-game until you’ve tried them yourself. If you already have the attributes for it, just go to your shot creator and give these a try. Activating a Takeover ability while you have one of these jumpshots equipped is the equivalent of a cheat code.
