College Football 25 is a warm-up in many ways for EA’s signature NFL title—Madden 25. The latest iteration of the long-running football title comes hot out of the pocket with new features all powered by the introduction of BOOM Tech.

One constant in Madden 25 is the return of the 99 club. It’s a celebration of the most OP players in Madden 25, and we’ve rounded up all the latest on every 99-rated superstar in the title.

What is the Madden 99 Club?

The Madden 99 Club is simply an exclusive list of players that are rated 99 overall (OVR) in any given Madden game. There are often only a handful of players in each year’s game that are 99 OVR.

  • Tyreek Hill (WR – Miami Dolphins)
  • Christian McCaffrey (HB – San Francisco 49ers)
  • Trent Williams (LT – San Francisco 49ers)
  • Travis Kelce (TE – Kansas City Chiefs)
  • Patrick Mahomes (QB – Kansas City Chiefs)

Coverboy CMC was announced as the highest-rated running back in Madden 25 the day after the Miami Dolphins star receiver was revealed as the first. McCaffrey is a rushing and pass-catching monster, and Hill is regarded as one of the greatest WRs in the NFL today. Both have been upgraded from Madden 24 to the maximum 99 rating in Madden 25.

Not to be outdone, CMC has been joined by his teammate and enabler of some of his huge plays, left tackle Trent Williams. The 36-year-old LT has earned his second 99 rating by being a monumental blocker for the reigning NFC champions.

The fourth member of this year’s club is none other than Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. Travis Kelce sets the record with the most 99 Club appearances for a tight end all-time in Madden with his fifth 99 rating.

The final 99 Club member for 2024 was announced on Aug. 2, and it’s a surprise to no one. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is a member again for the fourth time in the past five years as the Kansas City signal-caller will look to repeat as champion once more.

We’re at that time of year when details about Madden 25 start to seep through thick and fast. EA’s updates and deep dives become regular occurrences, and we learn a lot about the latest sequel in a short space of time as we countdown to the full release.

Hill, McCaffrey, and Williams are expected to be the first of a handful of 99-club announcements—Madden 24 only had five players receive the golden 99 number: Aaron Donald, Justin Jefferson, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Zack Martin. More positions are to be announced in the coming days and weeks leading up to the game’s drop date, so the news will be flowing until then.

Keep checking back as we populate this guide with the latest members of Madden 25’s elusive 99 club. In the meantime, check out the top 10 wide receivers in Madden NFL 25 and learn how to get early access to Madden 25.
