New preset archetypes

Before even stepping onto the gridiron, players will need to pick their physical avatar and preset archetypes. You will start off with a 60 for all of your ratings, with a rating cap of 84 and a bronze cap for that ability tier. You can, however, spend up to three creation points on your ratings to boost a specific stat’s starting base value, meaning you can also increase its rating cap.

For example, if you’re an aspiring quarterback, you could spend three creation points on your throw power to boost it to a starting value of 75. Your max throw power rating will, in turn, be a 99 with a gold cap for the associated ability. You will need to also choose between spending your creation points on core skills vs. base physical skills, since you’ll need to strike a balance between both to find success.

Whether you wish to be an elusive speedster or a destructive powerhouse, you need to find the middle point between upgrading your physical attributes to match your playstyle while also gaining those crucial on-field abilities.

Continue your College Football 25 Road to Glory

For the first time in almost a decade, players can continue their legendary career by importing their Road to Glory player from College Football 25 to use in Madden 25‘s Superstar Mode. You can finally play through the complete journey of a football superstar, from their humble beginnings in college to the Hall of Fame in the NFL.

Additionally, players who import a player from College Football 25 will also get additional creation points on top of their base point cap of 15. It is a great way to immerse players who were absolute studs in post-secondary, and are looking to make a big impact on whichever team they join after the NFL Combine.

Revamped NFL Combine

Although every Madden 25 player will participate in the 40-yard dash and bench press, there are 26 new minigames for the Combine that cater to specific positions. Players must perform well at the Combine because their results there can impact their career before they even touch the turf. A good performance at the NFL Combine can affect a player’s starting ratings, giving them even more of an advantage to start their career.

Frame your career with Superstar Quests

Superstar Quests are narrative moments that require you to make some important decisions that will shape your career, whether you promise a teammate that you’ll get them more receptions as a quarterback or tell your coach you’ll be the best rusher the team has seen. Your responses to these moments will activate specific quests you’ll need to complete, from gameday goals to season-wide targets.

There will be over 900 different quests tailored to different player types and skills, along with performance-based quests that are activated when you’re struggling. These quests change based on how you are playing, how your team is faring, and how far along you are on your road to greatness.

New teammate abilities

There are no such things as solo stars in football since every player needs to rely on their team to succeed. As a result, Madden 25 players will slowly earn teammate abilities that can improve the performance of their peers on the field. For example, as a quarterback, a teammate ability can boost the Catch in Traffic stat for all of your receivers. You can also choose to boost their Deep Route Running capabilities based on how you wish to play your game.
