Prices will rise March 5 to accommodate for new tax laws, currency shifts, and inflation across regions. Each region will see different price increases with the exact percentage increased varied by nation.

Many states in the U.S. have extended their sales tax to include digital purchases such as RP. Most players in the country will see an 8 to 10 percent increase in RP prices as a result, although the exact amount varies by state.

Starting today, players will receive extra bonus RP whenever they purchase the game’s currency until March 5 to help accommodate for the upcoming price changes.

Likewise, Riot has taken the time to revamp the game’s refund policy. Each account will still receive three initial refund tokens that can be used on RP or Blue Essence purchases, however, players will now get an additional token each year. An account will still only be able to hold up to three tokens at a time.

Players will also be able to return unused items in the client within a week of purchase without the use of a refund token. While champions, skins, and emotes can all be refunded, bundles, event passes, and account transfers are non-refundable. For the full list of refundable items, players can visit Riot’s support page.
