After 100 Thieves disbanded this year, Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer stepped into Sentinels’ first LCS project as a head coach with a focus on pairing veteran insight with a roster built for long-term cohesion, setting the stage for an ambitious campaign for the squad.
While building the LCS roster from scratch, Goldenglue revealed that the standout player was Cho “Rahel” Min-seong, whose ability to excel despite the circumstances in matches and strong mental fortitude make him a no-brainer for a roster in its first year. Rahel previously competed for DAMWON Academy and SK Gaming before coming to the LCS with Disguised, arriving as a developing prospect with proven experience in both Korea and Europe.
The veteran esports player turned coach also paired his AD carry with an experienced support in Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun, who also played with Rahel in the Disguised squad. According to Goldenglue, huhi is going to be that experienced shotcaller in the team, who uses his experience and synergy to become a vocal playmaker in the team.
They are not the only players from Disguised to join the squad, as Isaac “DARKWINGS” Chou is also signing on as the team’s mid laner. Goldenglue felt that he went toe to toe with Quid, who was arguably the best mid laner in North America last year, and believes DARKWINGS has plenty of room to grow into a reliable cornerstone for the roster. As a former mid laner himself, the coach added that he hopes to use his own experience to help him reach his full potential.
In the top lane, Sentinels secured former World Champion Impact, who has set the standard for excellence among LCS top laners for years. He has nothing left to prove to anyone, so he is playing to compete and wanted a roster that could legitimately contend for trophies. Goldenglue did not expect him to be available this offseason, but once he was, the coach felt it was an easy decision given the skillset and stability Impact brings to the lineup.
Last but not least, the second import in the team is Ham “HamBak” Yoo-jin, who is coming straight from Korea after having a decent season at LCK 2025 with OK BRION. Rahel and Impact were “pumped” to play with him, and the coach feels that he is “cracked mechanically” and expects him to get off a solid start immediately after coming to the LCS.
Going into January for 2026, Goldenglue says he expects that Impact, HamBak, and he will gel with the existing three-member squad of Disguised. With four Korean players in the squad, the coach assured that the language barrier won’t be a big issue as the two Korean players are already taking English lessons, and they’ve other Korean players like Impact and huhi, who are already well-versed in English, along with a Korean team manager.
With the new roster on show, Sentinels play their first match in the LCS Lock-In tournament next year to potentially secure their place at the first international event of the year with First Stand.
