Doggo’s Draven carries CFO to surprise upset against T1 at Worlds 2025

League of Doggo.

Upsets are quickly becoming the norm at Worlds 2025. CTBC Flying Oyster’s star AD carry, Doggo, delivered a masterclass on Draven today, spinning his axes and shredding T1 to pieces to hand the defending Worlds champion their first defeat of the Swiss Stage.

The Taiwanese squad’s bold drafting choices saw them pick up the first Draven of Worlds 2025. Doggo’s unrelenting aggression started with a lane swap to the top lane, where he solo killed Doran’s Rek’Sai to cash in on his Draven. HongQ’s Ryze then came into action and used his Realm Warp to catch T1 in tricky positions and punish their mistakes to swing the match in CFO’s favour.

Driver acted as the team’s frontline with his comfort Sion pick, and T1 never got hold of Draven, who wreaked havoc on Summoner’s Rift. He ended the match with a flawless KDA of 6/0/12.

JunJia’s jungle Qiyana matched Doggo’s intensity, securing 10 kills and ensuring that every T1 mistake was swiftly and decisively punished. Even when T1 realized they needed to punish these confident plays from CFO, it was too late because Draven could just walk past the frontline and spin his axes into a statement win for the current LCP champions.

Back at MSI 2025, CFO came close to toppling T1 in the bracket stage. Months later, they finally finished the job, seizing the match and flipping a presumed T1 win on its head. Over 1.8 million viewers, as per Esports Charts, watched CFO make history, and with this triumph, they’re now just one match away from locking in a Knockout Stage slot.

This loss makes T1’s road to the Knockout Stage a little steeper, but the Korean powerhouse has long proven their ability to rebound on the international stage.
