Which district type should you build in Synergy?

Picking the best district type in Synergy will help you build happy and healthy settlements. Here's a guide to picking your district.

In Synergy, Founders Squares act as the central hub for settlements and can be upgraded into different district types. There are six types of districts overall, each offering its own unique tier bonuses that can help you secure long-term success.

While each Synergy district has its uses as an upgraded building type, the Green Park Square district and Fountain Park Square district stand out as the best options. The former is available early on, while the latter needs to be unlocked via the Research Tree.

The Green Park Square district focuses on greenery and wellbeing, applying a boost to available positions in buildings like the Pickers’ Cabin.

The Fountain Park Square district revolves around water supply, wellbeing, and knowledge, making it more efficient to gather and process water for the settlement.

The listed benefits aren’t immediately available upon building these districts, though, as you must improve a district’s score to reap all of its benefits. To reach the tier one bonus, you have to achieve a score of 350.

Boosting your district score requires increasing the score of every building contained within its boundaries. Looking at housing satisfaction, for example, can help you reach higher tiers and add key bonuses to your settlement.

Districts aren’t mutually exclusive in Synergy—after a few hours, you’ll likely have two or three of them in your settlement. Selecting Green Park Square to start and choosing Fountain Square as soon as it becomes available will help you hit the ground running and build a thriving world for your settlements.
