Romance is an obligatory feature in the modern cozy farming simulator, and Fields of Mistria delivered 10 romanceable characters in early access, with two more on the way for its full released.
How to increase your relationship in Fields of Mistria
The relationship mechanic is similar to Stardew Valley. You’ll increase your relationship with the villagers of Mistria by talking to them and gifting them food and items. You can do these actions only once per day. As you fill the relationship bar, you’ll fill up to four hearts in early access that will define your relationship status.
You’ll know what characters are romanceable because they’ll have a heart next to their name and will have Single written in their journal entry. You can currently romance Adeline, Balor, Celine, Eiland, Hayden, Juniper, March, Reina, Ryis, and Valen. You can romance any of these characters regardless of how your character identifies.

Each character has a list of 10 loved gifts and 20 liked gifts. Some have easier items and foods to get, while others will only enjoy late-game items, so you’ll have to be patient if the character you want to romance only loves perfect items or high-level recipe foods.
Loved items will increase your relationship much faster than liked items. The character will react with a heart icon if it’s a loved gift, with music notes if they liked it, a cute emoticon if it’s neutral, and a question mark if they hated it.
