Is RNG on your side, or will you need a helping hand from the special items in Blue Prince? If you want to reach the Antechamber, you need to make good use of the items scattered around the Estate. But be strategic, for you cannot leave the Estate with these on hand.
Here are all special items in Blue Prince, the best rooms you can find them in, and what they do to help you get far in your run.
All special items in Blue Prince, listed

Any purchased or discovered special items sit in your inventory for that day. You will lose any acquired items when you Call It A Day. You can save one item by checking it in at the Coat Check (although this room is rarer than others). I’ve found leaving a Keycard here is best, but you may wish to prioritize another item depending on how rare it is.
Items can be obtained in three main ways:
- Randomly found: Exploring rooms such as Bedrooms (Guest and Bunk Bed) or the Courtyard can often spawn in special items.
- Guarantee spawn: Draft the Toolshed behind the West Gate to acquire two random items within this Outer Room.
- Purchased item: Go to The Commissary to purchase from a list that can include common drops (Gems, Coins, and Keys) or special items. These cost Coins.
You can also (although it’s incredibly rare) pick up the Secret Garden Key by completing the Billiard Room puzzle. Here is a quick rundown on what each item does in Blue Prince.

You can combine items in the Workshop. This is a crucial step to reaching the Antechamber, as you can find Broken Levers to fix, which open Antechamber doors.
