Hearthstone Team Story will launch next week featuring eight of China’s top esports organizations fighting it out for a share of over one million Yuan ($163,000). The eight week competition will play out over 56 matchdays with final playoffs for the top teams. The move comes on the heels of other successful leagues in Europe and Asia, including NEL and the Archon Team League Championships.

Eight teams have been invited to take part in the initial competition: Team Celestial, Edward Gaming, Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming, World Elite, YOLO Miracle, TongFu and Newbee. The league will air four days a week, with one match each day.

Each team will have four players, three of whom will compete in a three-on-three, best-of-eleven match (a system similar to ATLC) that is worth two points. The fourth player will play in a standard best of five conquest for another one point.

Like the ESGN Fight Night series, the teams will all be flown into a studio location and play out the tournament online. The winners of four round robin groups will advance to the playoffs to fight for the first prize of 300,000 Yuan ($47,000). The rest of the prize pool will be divided among all eight teams based on their performance across the whole tournament, with each point worth 4,000 Yuan.
