The team has already qualified for the Americas Championship and taken the first step towards the World Championships at BlizzCon. So their performance in the NA Open was simply a reassertion of their dominance as the undisputed best team in North America.

Tempo Storm ran through every team in their path without dropping a single map. This included a pair of 2-0 victories over nearest rivals Cloud9 Maelstrom to maintain a perfect 9-0 record against them.

In the grand final Tempo Storm looked head-and-shoulders above Cloud9, finishing both maps with a three level advantage. In the final map on Battlefield of Eternity, the game lasted less than 15 minutes with Tempo Storm winning on level 17.

Tempo Storm take home $8,500 for the victory, their sixth tournament win since the beginning of June. As Tempo Storm have already qualified for the Americas Championship, Cloud9 Maelstrom, and third place COGnitive Gaming took the two up for grabs spots.
