The Bow is one of the early weapons you can craft in RuneScape Dragonwilds. It is beneficial to hunt down wildlife for food and fight lethal enemies in Ashenfall. While the game doesn’t tell you how to make a Bow as it gives you a melee weapon to start your journey, you’ll need to use your wits and figure out the recipe by picking the right ingredients from the wild.
How to craft a Bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds, explained

To craft a Bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds, start by collecting Flax plants scattered across the second region, called Bramblemead Valley. They’re fairly easy to find using their signature blue color, which makes them stand out in nature. Once you’ve got three of these plants, go to your base and build the Spinning Wheel. You’ll need to use 12 Ash Logs, four Flax plants, and two Stones. You can chop down trees with your Stone Logging axe or use your magic to use the Axtral Projection, which uses runes.
After you find these materials in the wild, make the Spinning Wheel by pressing B to open the Build Menu and going to the crafting buildings option. You won’t be able to use the building even after making it in your base if you don’t have a roof over the Spinning Wheel. So, make sure to build a normal roof over your building to protect it against environmental factors and use it. Once you have a working Spinning Wheel, open it and insert your Flax plants to make Coarse Threads, which will be an essential material in crafting the Bow. Once you have three of these threads, you’ll unlock the recipe for the Ash Shortbow.

You can just head to your crafting station and select the Bow, which requires 12 Ash Logs and three Coarse Threads. You can craft the Bow, and the final step is to make arrows in the crafting station to hit enemies from a distance.
You have two types of ammo to make, and both require different materials to craft. To make the first Stone type, use one Stone, one Feather, and one Ash Log. While it is easier to make, it deals only eight damage. You can also craft the stronger version of the arrows, the Fang type, which needs one Small Animal Fang, one Feature, and one Ash Log. You only need to craft one of these arrows to get 33 in your inventory. The Fang deals 11 damage and is a bit more explosive than the Stone counterpart.
You can get Small Animal Fangs by killing Giant Rats in Ashenfall, and you have to kill them during the game’s tutorial to cook their meat. Features are easy to acquire by killing Birds and Chickens on the land. You can also get it from the bird nests. Stones can be mined with a pickaxe or collected from the ground.
The only downside to using the Bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds is that you don’t have a skill tree for Archery in the early access yet. You don’t gain any experience using the ranged one like the other melee weapons, which unlock new attacks. It is coming soon, and once it gets added to the game, players should be able to do many fancy tricks with the Bow to dominate their enemies without any risk.
