The team recently returned from WCA in China, the only North American team to play in the tournament. COGnitive was one of the top four teams in the North American region this year, alongside Cloud9, Tempo Storm, and compLexity Gaming.

Fisk took to Twitter to announce his free agency. This is the second team that he has been kicked from this year, after splitting with Tempo Storm around May due to personality clashes with other members of the team.

Will always remember the good times on @CognitiveGG, they supported me through good times and bad.Officially a free agent, 2016 here I come!

The current COGnitive roster includes Donald “Scylol” Dobbin, Jeffrey “iakona” Dolan, and Forrest “Syracuse” Holland. But the team is in talks with some prospective players for the Esports Arena Heroes Rising tournament in January.

With Fan “Fan” Yang now off Cloud9 it is possible that he might go to COGnitive.

Fisk and Gavlas have not yet announced what they plan to do next, although Fisk would like to continue playing Heroes professionally.

An official statement from COGnitive’s Heroes manager Dylan “Dylux” Walker wishes Fisk and Gavlas luck wherever they end up.

“As it turns out both my team and the organization as a whole will be an entirely different animal next year, and we are all very excited for the future,” said Walker.

COGnitive went through another roster change just after Pax Prime in August, kicking Austin “Shot” Lonsert.
