The Footsteps of the Fremen is the eighth and final main story quest of the Trials series of Dune Awakening. There are some puzzles you need to answer, and in case you can’t figure them out on your own, I’ve got them sorted for you below.
It’s also the final test of Aql and is located right inside a cave.

Dune Awakening final trial location (The Footsteps of the Fremen)
The final trial, or The Footsteps of the Fremen quest, is located in Sietch Ta’lab, towards the Eastern Shield Wall (Sandflies Territory), right at the border of Mysa Tarill and Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb.

Now, let’s take a look at all the tasks you need to do to complete this quest.
How to complete The Footsteps of the Fremen quest in Dune Awakening
Here’s the series of tasks you need to complete in the Footsteps of the Fremen quest:

| 1 | After finding the cave, you have to continue moving forward until you come across the big open room, and then enter through the big Ornate Door. |
| 2 | The Ornate Door will ask seven questions, and here are all the correct answers in sequence: 1) Nilotic al-Ourouba 2) Poritrin 3) Salusa Secundus 4) Bela Teguese 5) Rossak 6) Thurgrod 7) Harmonthep You get to learn these answers from the previous seven Trials. It’s absolutely fine if you can’t recall the answers at one go, simply check them above. |
| 3 | Once the Ornate Door opens up, move to a tunnel with its passage blocked by boulders, cut your way through it using your Cutteray, and explore the sietch with Ari. You will end up in a room with a Solido Projection that talks about ecology. |
| 4 | Now comes the second puzzle of the quest, where you need to match the symbols. What you need to do is interact with the buttons to match the symbols: Lesson 1: Bind – Dune – Grass Lesson 2: Planting – Shelter – Downwind Lesson 3: Animal – Aerate – Soil Doing this will complete the ecology lesson. |
| 5 | Continue exploring the abandoned sietch to find the third puzzle, which is on the floor where you’d need to activate the Fremen Deathstill. You have to rotate the three rings in this sequence: Outer ring – 2 times Middle ring – 1 time Inner ring – 2 times Ari will say “Very good” once you’ve successfully completed the puzzle, so look out for that cue. |
| 6 | Now is the time to enter the secret chamber. You will have to locate a safe (located to the left of the entrance door). Interact with it, and the final door will open up to reveal a wave of enemies (Maas Kharet). |
| 7 | Survive the assault and make your way out of the sietch. The quest will finally be complete. |
Get all these tasks done, and you’ll complete the final test of Aql.
