The iconic X-Wing Starfighter is ready to take to the skies in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three. If you want to be part of the Galactic Battle, find one of these nimble flying vehicles in various locations around the map.
Here’s how to find and fly the X-Wings in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three.
Where to find X-Wing Starfighters in Fortnite Galactic Battle
You can find the X-Wing at any Resistance base or outpost. There are five Resistance locations to visit and find an X-Wing for your squad:
- The Resistance Base
- Outpost Enclave
- Resistance Outpost south of Flooded Frogs
- Resistance Outpost northwest of Brutal Boxcars
- Resistance Outpost north of Shiny Shafts
Each of the Resistance outposts has one X-Wing Starfighter with just over 1,000 HP that is restored after a short period, as long as the Starfighter isn’t destroyed. The vehicle also has powerful weapons that deal 60 area damage per hit, making them great for taking down structures and damaging opponents.
How to use an X-Wing Starfighter in Fortnite Galactic Battle
When you find an X-Wing, interact with it to jump inside and use the following controls to fly and fight using controller or keyboard and mouse:
- Throttle Up: Analog stick up or W
- Throttle Down: Analog stick down or S
- Land (does not negate fall damage!): RB/R1 or Q
- Boost: LS/L3 or Left Shift
- Fire: RT/R2 or Left Mouse Button
- Free Look: LT/L2 or Right Mouse Button
- Switch Seats: RS/R3 or Left CTRL
- Exit (Hold): X/Square or E
- Music On/Off: Down on the D-Pad or B
The NPC at the Resistance Base, Poe Dameron, has an X-Wing quest to complete for 30K XP and a legendary A280-CFE Blaster reward. To complete his task, approach him and speak to him about the flying lesson before jumping into the nearest X-Wing. Fly around the area and destroy 25 structures before landing and talking to Poe once more to claim your reward.
