Back in 2019, you could purchase a Starfighter to use as a glider in Fortnite, and since then, players have been waiting for them to appear as usable vehicles in the game. Thanks to the latest Fortnite season, Galactic Battle, and the introduction of TIE Fighters and X-wing Starfighters, that time has finally come.

Where to find a Starfighter in Fortnite Chapter 6 season 3
There are two types of Starfighters in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three: the X-wing and the Imperial TIE Fighter. Which you choose depends on the number of players in your squad.
If you go solo, you may want to hop into a TIE fighter, a one-seat Starfighter with powerful blasters. Alternatively, you and your squad will want to seat yourselves in an X-wing, with one player in the cockpit and others arranged on the iconic wings.
You can find an Imperial TIE Fighter at the First Order Base, northeast of the island. Near where the Demon’s Dojo once stood, this location has a huge hangar used to repair broken TIE Fighters. The building has five points of entry, with one utility shaft perfect for stealthy arrivals.
The X-wing is situated at the Resistance Base, located northwest of the island where Whiffy Wharf once stood. This is bound to be a popular dropping point as it contains the X-wing Starfighter and a bunch of other loot you will want to get your hands on.
How to use Starfighters in Fortnite Chapter 6 season 3
The Imperial TIE Fighter is a speedy Starfighter capable of transporting one solo player. You can fly and boost your way across the map from one location to the next, making use of the powerful blasters on board. The ship isn’t immune to damage, however, so watch out for players sniping you from below or other ships trying to blast you out of the sky.
The X-wing is perfect for full squads as it holds one pilot in the cockpit, with three other players positioned on the wings and body of the Starfighter. If you remember the planes from previous Fortnite seasons, this should work very similarly. It promises to be nimble and fast, with laser cannons to attack enemy ships or players below. Like the TIE Fighter, you must watch out for getting blasted out of the sky. Make the most of its ability to quickly manoeuvre and get you out of trouble.
