How to destroy surveillance cameras in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4

Smile for the camera.

A fresh batch of story quests has been added to Fortnite Chapter Five, season four and there are some pesky surveillance cameras to destroy. If you’re on the hunt for Big Brother, we’ve got a guide to make things much easier.

Fortnite quests often include weird and wonderful things, with the latest batch of quests helping to push you to complete the battle pass including a spot of vandalism. Though I’d steer clear of it in the real world (where there, unfortunately, isn’t a battle pass to complete), you should embrace your inner yob in Fortnite.

Not every camera will do, however, as there is a specific area for you to run wild and rage against the machines.

The surveillance cameras you need to destroy in Fortnite Chapter Five, season four are only located in Doomstadt. Tracking the quest directs you to this area of the map, which is located east of Rebel’s Roost and west of Doom’s Courtyard.

The quest waypoint won’t take you directly to surveillance cameras, however, and instead leads to the general area. The best tactic I found was to head into the middle of Doomstadt, where Mysterio spawns and the statue is as there are three cameras in the courtyard.

Destroying cameras is easy and only takes a few shots with any weapon, though you can destroy them with a Pickaxe. The biggest danger comes from other players and Mysterio himself, who will turn hostile when he sees you. Though you can eliminate Mysterio first, the next quest tasks you to take him out, so focus on the cameras and turn your attention to Mysterio after.

To find cameras, look on the side of buildings in Doomstadt. Most of the cameras are located above doors or on the corners of buildings. There isn’t a large number of cameras in Doomstadt, though, so you may need to enter several games if other players are trying to complete the same quest.
