A new explosive is set to be added to Fortnite: Battle Royale very soon.

Dynamite is officially coming to Fortnite, according to today’s in-game News message. “Light the fuse and wait for the boom,” the message reads.

Unfortunately, not much else is known about Dynamite at this time. Some fans speculate that this item will only be available in the rumored Wild West LTM, but that’s unconfirmed.

If Dynamite is added to the traditional Fortnite: Battle Royale modes, it could take the place of Remote Explosives as an easy way to destroy enemy structures. Remote Explosives were retired to Fortnite’s vault at the start of season six, though, so it’s unclear why Epic Games would add another powerful explosive to the game.

Epic usually teases that new items are “coming soon” right before it’s ready to add them to the game—so Dynamite could join the world of Fortnite very soon, or even as early as this week.
