The Unstable Exotic weapons in Fortnite are unique weapons that deal solid damage along with a special effect, giving you an edge and flair in gunfights. 

Fortnite frequently adds multiple types of rare weapons, and the Unstable Exotic is one of the hardest kinds to obtain on the island unless you know the ways to get them and use them against your enemies to secure an easy victory royale. 

How to get Unstable Exotic weapons in Fortnite

To get the Unstable Exotic weapons in Fortnite, you need to defeat the Overlord Spires, which spawn randomly on the map. Unlike the regular Spires, which are white in color on the minimap, the Overlord Spires are powerful and are displayed on the map with a purple color. The Overlord Spire can be defeated by damaging its small wings on the side. Once you defeat it, it will give you multiple weapons, boons, and health supplies. 

While the developer says that you can get Unstable Exotic weapons from Rank S Hero Caches and Academy Tech Labs, I’ve never found them in these places in my matches. The most reliable way of getting them for me was to defeat the Overlord Spires, which spawn three times in a match at different points of interest while some of them also spawn in the storm. 

You can also get the Unstable Exotic weapons in Fortnite by defeating players who have them in their inventory. You can intercept them as they’re coming to the safe zone.
