How to start the Brothers of Mask and Blade quests
The Brothers of Mask and Blade quests won’t show up in your Island Stories quest list until they are triggered. To do this, you first have to complete the Shadow Blade Hope’s ‘Shadows of the Shard’ quests. Speak to Shadow Blade Hope at the Supernova Academy and ask her about Daigo and the masks. She will send you to visit Kendo at Shogun’s Solitude, where you will begin your Brothers of Mask and Blade quests.
How to complete all Brothers of Mask and Blade quests
The Brothers of Mask and Blade quests begin with a conversation with Kendo at Shogun’s Solitude. Kendo asks you to first deal 250 damage to enemy players using a Spire Rifle. Luckily, you won’t have to go searching for this weapon as Kendo has them for sale for 300 gold bars. If you haven’t got enough gold yet, the Spire Rifle is found in chests or as floor loot.

After dealing 250 damage to other players using the Spire Rifle, your next task will appear. Now, Kendo requires you to defeat three Demon Guards. These NPC enemies spawn at any Spire, but your best chance of completing this quest in one go is to find the Overlord Spire and take out every guard who spawns there, while surviving the Spire’s onslaught, of course.

Once that quest is over, the next task is to defeat one of the boss enemies, Daigo or Kor. Daigo can be found at Demon’s Domain, the foreboding area in the south surrounded by purple mist and storm clouds. Kor spawns on the floating island that appears a few minutes into the match. Kor is the easiest to defeat, as most players prefer to go after Daigo, plus the floating island is pretty easy to escape from if things get too dangerous.

As soon as you have defeated one of the bosses, your next task will trigger. Now it is time to find a Scout or Overlord Spire and destroy it without getting eliminated. Scout Spires are marked in white on the minimap, while the Overlord Spire is larger and marked in purple. The Scout Spires are easier to defeat, but the Overlord Spire gives better loot. Focus on the weak spots, and build defences to avoid the lasers and projectiles. Each one has Demon Guards who spawn repeatedly, but they are easy enough to take out. Just watch out for the Spire attacks!
To finish off, return to Kendo at Shogun’s Solitude to finish the quests and to trigger the end of the Shadows of the Shard quests with Shadow Blade Hope.
