There are five endings in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit. While it’s typically up for debate which endings are canon in FNAF games, it seems the Strange Photo ending is canon in Into the Pit due to the state Bonnie’s in within the Employees Only closet of Jeff’s Pizza at the end of the game.

The first and second ending don’t reward the player with an ending star (visible in the corner of Into the Pit‘s main menu), so they don’t really count as an ending, but we added them in anyways. The endings you can get offer these achievements as the credits roll:

  • See Ya Dad (Optional end)
  • What Am I? (Game over end)
  • Pit-y Party (Bad end)
  • Jeff? (Neutral end)
  • Family Fun Night (Good end)

Let’s dive into every ending and what you need to do to unlock them in FNAF: Into the Pit.

Ending one (Optional)

The first ending gives you the “See Ya Dad” achievement, where you can force Oswald to leave (on any night) via the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria main entrance. Oswald is stranded in the past, leaving the fate of his father and the children in the hands of the animatronics.

Ending two (Game over)

The second ending is achieved by failing the quick-time event at the climax of night five. Failing to fend off Bonnie in an attempt to rescue Oswald’s dad will place you back on the stage, his voice now distorted and unnatural, with the mascots of the pizzeria waving menacingly at you as they welcome you home.

This ending indicates that your soul remains trapped in the past, your body likely stuffed inside a suit—we can only presume you become Foxy due to his absence in the game. This theory is strengthened by Oswald standing in front of Pirate Cove right before the game over screen. This ending unlocks the “What Am I?” achievement.

One-star ending (Bad)

You must complete the quick-time event to escape by jumping inside the pit when the objective shows “Save Dad.” This is the final act of Into the Pit. While you think you’re safe on the other side, Bonnie steals Oswald away from his father and straps him to a chair.

The key to unlocking the one-star ending is not having the photograph on you, which you may have missed in your first playthrough anyway, likely making this the first ending you experience in FNAF: Into the Pit. This ending gives you the “Pit-y Party” achievement

Two-star ending (Neutral)

Ending four (two-star) follows the same method as ending three, but this time you should have the Strange Photo with you. This will cause Bonnie to panic, twisting him inside the netting of the pit and ending his life in the process. Unlike ending two, this has two quick-time events you must complete.

You must find the Strange Photo by the vent inside the Party Room on night five to get this ending. This item corresponds to the “Who are they?” achievement, and unlocks both the canon ending and “Jeff?” achievement.

Three-star ending (Good)

Ending five (three-star) plays out the same as ending four, but with one caveat: Jeff’s Pizza ends up thriving in the post-credits cutscene of Into the Pit. Unlike ending four, where we assume Jeff is killed by the re-activated Bonnie, the three-star ending shows that Jeff’s Pizza continues to bring in customers, with a smiling Jeff as the face of the business.

To reach this ending however, you must find and complete all three secret mini-games without dying. Here are all Into the Pit mini-games and how to unlock them:

  • Count the Ways: Find the candy dispenser and keep interacting with the object to activate this mini-game. This is Millie’s mini-game.
  • To be Beautiful: You must Call mom on night five to start Sarah’s mini-game.
  • Balloons: You need to interact with the Prizes machine inside the Arcade on night five. You need to use the ticket dispenser in the far left corner of the Arcade to get a Prize Voucher. This costs 20 Tickets to buy.

You should complete all mini-games in the past, on night five. We recommend searching for these mini-games while the objective to “Find Dad” is active. This final ending unlocks the “Family Fun Night” achievement.
