Natus Vincere has secured a semifinals spot at ESL One Cologne after defeating Fnatic today.
Na’Vi took down Fnatic in two maps, Overpass and Train, to win the first quarterfinal against Fnatic. Map one Overpass was Na’Vi’s pick and map two Train was Fnatic’s pick. Inferno was leftover as the decider, but the series didn’t go to a third game.

Overpass was initially a one-sided affair in favor of the CIS squad, with the score being 12-3 at halftime. Fnatic won the second pistol round and Na’Vi won the following forcebuy and the following two more rounds. The Swedes then tried to mount a comeback at 15-4, but the game ultimately ended at 16-12 with Na’Vi on top. Egor “flamie” Vasilyev was the hardest hitter in Na’Vi’s map one win, leading the charge at 32 kills.
Na’Vi showed the same strength on Train, starting off shaky at first, before finally ending their CT half at 11-4. The Swedish defense later proved to be problematic for the CIS team, as they slowly found their way back into the game by putting Na’Vi on their toes for the second time in the series. Once Na’Vi found their footing on their T side, they closed out their match vs. Fnatic with a 16-10 win on Train. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Denis “electronic” Sharipov top fragged the server at 26 and 24 kills, respectively.
Na’Vi is going on to the semifinals, where they will be facing off against Astralis. Their match will begin at 8am CT tomorrow, July 6.
