The Warzone Deadline mode brings a fresh twist to battle royale as it rewards consistent and aggressive play. Unlike standard battle royale experience, you aren’t just surviving until the endl; you’re always competing to keep your score above others every single round, spicing up every match, and keeping the entire lobby engaged all the time.

Here’s everything you need to know about how Deadline mode works in Warzone, how to earn more points, and some tips for survival and winning.

What is the Warzone Deadline mode?

Deadline is the new LTM that was launched with Warzone with the season five Reloaded update, and it’s played on Verdansk’s classic map.

Up to 100 players get to drop in as squads of four (Quads), and everyone gets unlimited respawns (just like Resurgence) from the moment you land. However, the fun comes with a catch: after each gas circle closes, the lowest-scoring squads are eliminated. This means you and your teammates have to be in constant action as there’s no room for camping and playing safe.

The fact that your squad’s score resets after every circle collapse will sustain the team’s adrenaline, so you need to keep eliminating enemy teams and earn points constantly. You won’t just be fighting enemy squads, but bots also spawn after each circle shrinks. This adds another layer of chaos, as the enemy teams get the audio cue for third-party scenarios.

How to earn more points in Warzone Deadline

Scoring points is your only lifeline in Warzone Deadline mode. The more points you rack up before the next circle closes, the longer your squad survives. Here’s how you can earn more points in the limited-time game mode:

  • Every kill counts, so eliminate more and more enemy operators and bots.
  • Complete Contracts to boost your team’s tally.
  • Loot supplies by opening Supply Crates.
  • Spending cash at Buy Stations and investing your in-game money wisely will also increase points.
  • Deploy Killstreaks and utilize tactical moves, as these also contribute to your point tally.
  • Although unlimited respawns sound enticing and allow you to be aggressive, don’t be reckless. If you fall behind in points, you risk getting eliminated when the circle closes.

How to survive and win in Warzone Deadline mode

When the stakes are so high, winning in Deadline LTM boils down to execution of pristine teamwork and tactical skills. Since the scores reset every circle, here are some of the strategies you can implement to survive and maximize your points in each phase:

  • Keep moving and avoid camping to continuously collect points.
  • Communicate with your squad and divide tasks. Also, communicate when you’re either looting, activating contracts, or engaging with enemies.
  • Prioritize Contract completions, as these are quick ways to collect points fast.

While the game mode may sound stressful at first, it gets a lot more exciting when you’re actually playing the game. It feels like Ranked Play, but on steroids. At the time of writing, there’s no official information about the end date of this LTM, so enjoy while it lasts.
