KSV eSports, an organization founded this year with Silicon Valley backing, could be looking to acquire the team. KSV recently secured the South Korean Overwatch League team slot, picking up the Lunatic-Hai Overwatch roster and naming the franchise Seoul Dynasty. The league’s pre-season kicks off Dec. 6. The first season will be held in LA, giving the organizations time to build out their infrastructure in their home cities.

Longzhu Gaming recently won the LCK Summer Split title by beating current World Champions SK Telecom T1, and headed to Worlds 2017 as the number one LCK seed. After finishing first in their group, Longzhu crashed out of the tournament in the quarterfinals after a 3-0 defeat to fellow LCK team Samsung Galaxy.

When asked by KukiNews whether KSV eSports would be picking up the team, its vice president, Philip Hyun, declined to comment.

If KSV does take over Longzhu Gaming, it will be picking up one of the best LCK lineups in recent history. With further investment, they could rival SKT both domestically and internationally for years to come.
