Byali to part ways with Virtus Pro after the FACEIT London Major

One more star is leaving Virtus Pro behind, and it’s Pawel “byali” Bielinski.

Byali is set to leave the team following the FACEIT London Major in September. He’s the third player to leave the original Virtus Pro roster this year—the same lineup that stuck together for four years and won the EMS Katowice Major in 2014.

Byali’s departure was a decision made by both the organization and byali himself, VP said in its announcement. VP will announce a new player for the team after the London Major.

“All these years together with Virtus.pro were simply incredible,” byali said in the announcement. “I’m deeply thankful for everything the team has done for me. Only because of them I became who I am now. I also would like to declare my deepest gratitude to all the fans who kept cheering for us in our brightest, and our darkest hours. I’m leaving Virtus Pro, but I wish the guys all the best.”

Under the VP organization, byali won nine championships and was ranked 13th in the world in 2014. He’s also ranked 19th in overall earnings among CS:GO pros, with over $567,000 accrued in his years of competition.

Throughout 2018, the Poles slowly parted ways one by one. It started with Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas, who was benched in favor of Michal “MICHU” Morelz in February. TaZ began a new chapter with Team Kinguin—a venture that’s brought him happiness after his career with VP.

Then VP brought on Piotr “morelz” Taterka to replace Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski. Snax replaced Martin “STKO” Styk on the Mousesports lineup in June. Snax’s move to Mousesports hasn’t yielded good results for the international team, though, since the team struggled a bit before the August player break.

Filip “NEO” Kubski and Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jazabkowski are the only two players remaining from the original four-year roster.
