Virtus Pro has signed a new, young talent from AGO Esports—Michal “snatchie” Rudzki.

Snatchie is the newest player for the team, replacing Piotr “morelz” Taterka on the active roster. Snatchie signed a contract with VP that’s expected to last until 2020, according to VP.

Morelz acted as a stand-in for VP for less than two months, after AWPer Janusz “snax” Pogorzelski left the team for Mousesports in June. The sudden change in the veteran core left VP without a strong AWP presence. The addition of snatchie should help alleviate that issue and aid Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski in the AWPing department.

As the AWPer for AGO, snatchie was consistently the highest rated player in offline events. Snatchie made a name for himself at several DreamHack Open and StarLadder events with high HLTV ratings and insane frag numbers against big name teams like North, Mousesports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and even VP. This move should improve VP’s firepower, despite the team’s obvious struggle in the tactical meta the last two years.

VP will finish up with morelz at IEM Shanghai this week. Snatchie’s debut will be at the end of the month at the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018, which will be held in China from Aug. 24 to 26.

There will be high expectations for the young talent going into the FACEIT London Major in September, since VP will be hoping to at least claim a spot in the first Major of 2019.
