Zenless Zone Zero – When does Qingyi release in ZZZ?

One of the key members of the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team is Qingyi, a strong Electric unit in Zenless Zone Zero. Qingyi is one of many upcoming characters you can recruit, which means you might want to know her release date to save for her arrival.

If you’re hoping to add Qingyi to your roster, preparing for her arrival is key as it might take you many pulls to unlock her. Here’s when Qingyi will be released in ZZZ so you can be ready to recruit her.

Qingyi release date in Zenless Zone Zero

Qingyi’s release date hasn’t been announced just yet, but since her drip marketing has been shared, it’s fairly likely she’ll drop in the 1.1 update on Aug. 14 or around three weeks later on Sept. 4.

HoYoverse has a consistent pattern across all of its gacha games, and this pattern includes sharing the drip marketing for the next characters across all social media platforms just before the update the recruits are released in. Qingyi’s drip marketing was shared on July 6, which means she’s very likely to be released in the next update, version 1.1.

Although her Attribute type is known, Qingyi’s rank is still a mystery. Whether she’s an S-Rank or an A-Rank is largely going to depend on the rank of other characters expected to be released in the 1.1 update, like Miyabi.

Based on what has been shared and seen for Qingyi so far, she seems to lean a little more A-Rank than S-Rank. In all the scenes she’s appeared in, she’s been in Zhu Yuan’s shadow, making her seem like a slightly less important unit.

Zhu Yuan is confirmed to release in 1.0 and is the next banner while Qingyi was unveiled later, which means she can’t be an A-Rank running on Zhu Yuan’s banner. Because of this, Qingyi could also easily be one of the new S-Ranks arriving in 1.1 instead, even though she seems to fit more as an A-Rank so far. We likely won’t know her exact rank until the 1.1 update gets closer.

Qingyi’s attack type is also not known yet, so she could have any of the available attack styles. Only her Attribute has been showcased so far, so it’s tough to know what kind of unit she’ll be, whether she’s worth pulling for, and if she’ll be among the best ZZZ characters you can get.
