There are several classes you can choose to play during your time in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. Each class comes with various customization options, and you may want to play one class in a specific way, but use different weapons while using another.
It all comes down to what your team needs for the next mission. This is an easy fix if you have too much ranged firepower and want to switch to a melee class. You might miss where you can do this, though, and it can be tricky to find before you set out on an operation. Here’s what you need to know about how to change your class in Space Marine 2.
Where to switch your class in Space Marine 2
The way you go about switching your class in Space Marine 2 is by visiting the Armouring Hall. This is where you can swap out your gear, customize your armor, and provide any upgrades to your weapons before embarking on an operation. You can access this menu while in the PvE operations, and this is also a location you can visit in the main campaign. When you speak with the Armourer, the first option is to select what class you want to customize.
You cannot change your class while in the primary campaign. The protagonist, Commander Titus, does not have a set class. Instead, you can only swap between the weapons you’ve unlocked for each mission you play. Although Titus does not have a set class in Space Marine 2, he can use any weapon you can preview in that operation. Some are locked until you work your way further through the campaign.
You do have to use a class for an entire operation in Space Marine 2. You cannot swap out mid-way through an operation and begin playing something. You can join an operation midway through its completion if another player has an open slot and is playing online.
Expect to communicate with your teammates before embarking on a mission about what class to select. Some are better than others, especially if you account for what weapons they can and cannot use. Not every class plays the same in Space Marine 2, and knowing how to help your squad gives you a better chance of completing an operation on higher difficulties.
