Potions play a vital role in Oblivion Remastered, giving you buffs to fight stronger enemies or even increase Cyrodiil. However, obtaining them requires looting or crafting them using the correct set of ingredients.

In Oblivion Remastered, you start with the Mortar and Pestle from the Sewer area at the start of the game, and you can use the item to craft potions. You can use better equipment and make stronger potions as you level up. While you can use his potions to get a buff, you can also get many ingredients for free and sell the powerful potions for a profit to traders as well.

You can use multiple other apparatus, like a Retort, which increases the positive effects of the potions. Calcinator increases the positive and negative effects of the potions. And the Alembic decreases the negative effects in the potions that you make, allowing you to stock up.

As you make different potions and collect the ingredients for them, you can increase your Alchemy skills, which helps you get more recipes and use more of the items together. Here is a table showing all the different Alchemy levels:
