The Pittsburgh Knights took home the title from the ESL Mobile Open season five PUBG Mobile finals last night. The team pocketed over $12,000 and has directly qualified for the group stage for the fall split of the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) North America.Â
The Pittsburgh Knights put up a consistent performance across all five matches, placing in the top five in four of them. The team also picked up 30 kills along with one chicken dinner, which powered them to the top of the leaderboard with 87 points.Â
The second-place team, Cloud9, were 19 points behind the Pittsburgh Knights. Although C9 also got a chicken dinner in the second match, they didn’t play as well in the remaining matches.Â
Tempo Storm and Wildcard Gaming, two of the favorites coming into the finals, failed to perform up to expectations. Tempo Storm placed 13th while Wildcard Gaming, who won the playoffs last month and the opening weekend of the PMWL West, came in 14th.Â
