With the constant updates to the game and new Pokémon being added from the various regions and generations of Pokémon, many are looking to get their hands on some franchise favorites to show off to their friends, battle within gyms, and have new buddies to follow around and help out through the player’s journey. A couple of these Pokémon have arrived in the game, Larvesta (the Torch Pokémon) and Volcarona (the Sun Pokémon). These two Bug and Fire dual-type Pokémon are popular creatures from the Unova region.

Can you get Larvesta and Volcarona in Pokémon Go?

Larvesta and Volcarona make their debut during the An Instinctive Hero event which starts on May 2 in Pokémon Go,

For now, players can get Larvesta by hatching it from 2km, 5km, or 10km Eggs only. The Pokémon cannot be caught in the wild or earned through the event’s Field Research tasks.

Since other Pokémon can also hatch from these Egg pools, players may have to go through lots of Eggs before they can hatch it. Larvesta can be then evolved into Volcarona by using 400 Larvesta Candy. This might take some time as the Pokémon is only obtainable through hatching Eggs.
