A tweet from the official Luxury Watch Twitter account announced janus’ “abrupt hospitalization,” stating that tank player Gye “r0ar” Chang Hoon will operate as a stand-in for Friday’s match. A member of LW Blue’s sister team, LW Red, r0ar is likely familiar with LW Blue’s play style, making the transition a bit smoother than if he were a total outsider.

LW Blue fell 2-3 to RunAway during the Overwatch APEX semifinals. On Friday, LW Blue will play Meta Athena to determine which team will take home the â‚©12,000,000—roughly $11,000—third place prize. The loser from Friday’s match will be awarded â‚©8,000,000, the equivalent of just over $7,000.

LW Blue has not provided further detail on janus’ condition.
