Whom will you lead to glory?

American football fans have many reasons to rejoice lately, with Madden 25’s launch being one of them. With each edition of the game, some teams are better than others based on their overall rankings, and this year is no exception.

As always, teams in Madden 25 receive their rating based on their achievements and form in the previous season. It’s a convention used in every sports game, and the case is no different with the latest Madden.

Teams’ results from previous seasons combined with their players’ ratings make for the overall squad rating. With 32 teams in Madden 25, some are the best picks, while others are a bit lackluster.

The best team in Madden 25 is the Kansas City Chiefs, with an overall rating of 92—which is hardly surprising given Travis Kelce and the team’s recent results. The Missouri competitors have a fierce roster that conquered the last two Super Bowls, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in 2024 and the Philadelphia Eagles a year earlier. The latter should be respected in Madden 25 with a 91 overall rating, while the 49ers have an 86 rating.

If you’re new to the Madden series, starting a season with one of the stronger teams is a great way to get to grips with the gameplay. Those who are a bit more experienced should have no issues standing up to the challenge and navigating the worst teams to glory. There are multiple game modes in Madden 25, and finding the one that suits you the most will likely take some time.

The traditional management mode in Madden 25 is called Franchise, where you can bolster your team with the best players in the league. Some already stand out due to their jaw-dropping ratings, including quarterbacks. One of the most important qualities is high speed, so make sure to keep tabs on quick players as well.
