Jensen earns his 1,000th LCS kill against Clutch Gaming in week 9 of the 2019 Spring Split

Team Liquid's mid laner has been one of the best players in the league.

As Team Liquid close in on a great 2019 LCS Spring Split, one of their star players has hit a huge career milestone. Nicolaj Jensen found his 1,000th regular season kill in the LCS during Liquid’s win against Clutch Gaming today.

It was a pretty standard kill for Jensen, who roamed over to the bottom lane to help out Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in. His 1,000th kill represents four years of dominance in North America, dating back to when he came to the NA LCS in 2015 with Cloud9.

Jensen has had a very successful Spring Split after leaving Cloud9 to create a superteam with Team Liquid. He was coming off of the best performance of an NA team at Worlds where Cloud9 made it to the semifinals against Fnatic.

Jensen’s move to Team Liquid shocked many League of Legends fans since there weren’t any signs of him wanting to find a new team. No matter how people felt about his decision to leave Cloud9, Team Liquid dominated the region right from the get-go. Alongside Doublelift, CoreJJ, Jake “Xmithie” Puchero, and Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong, this team simply had too much firepower for any other squad to handle.

Individually, Jensen has had an impressive season, sporting the highest KDA in the entire league with a 13.8. He’s only trailing Doublelift and former teammate Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi for most kills in the LCS, as well.

His contributions to Liquid success this split have been extremely valuable as he’s been able to take away pressure from Doublelift down in the bottom lane. We’ll have to wait and see if he can win his first championship with Liquid when the playoffs begin.
