Unravel Two was a surprise reveal in EA’s press conference yesterday. Not only did the company announce the game, but it was also released on the same day for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

One major system missing from the lineup of consoles, however, was the Nintendo Switch. Unravel Two looked like the perfect game to come to the Switch due to its new local co-op feature and the fact that the two characters have the same color as the Neon Blue and Red Joy-Cons.

Martin Sahlin, the creative director at Coldwood Interactive and the creator of Unravel, recently tweeted about the reasons behind the lack of a Nintendo Switch port. He explained that due to the size of the team working on the project, there just wasn’t enough resources to create the port at this time.

But he did say that the studio didn’t have the resources “at the moment,” however, leaving some fans with hope that the game could eventually come to the Nintendo Switch.

Unravel Two was a part of a slew of new titles announced at EA’s E3 press conference, alongside Anthem and a brand-new Star Wars game. The original puzzle platformer title, Unravel, was released nearly three years ago and featured a small yarn character named Yarny. The sequel looks to build on the original game with new puzzles, gameplay elements, and a brand-new co-op mode that lets you play in tandem with another player.

Unravel Two is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
