How to survive an Antlion attack in PEAK – Megaentomology Badge

The Antlion is one of the most dangerous foes in PEAK’s MESA update, lurking in disguise as a harmless loot box before dragging you into a deadly vortex. While its attacks are fast and brutal, survival isn’t impossible. If you aim to outsmart this predator and secure the rare Megaentomology Badge and its free reward, here’s how to make it out alive.

How to get the Megaentomology Badge in PEAK

To get the Megaentomology Badge in PEAK, you’ll need to find an Antlion in the MESA region, a very hot place full of deadly cacti. Look for a big pit with luggage in the centre, but keep a friend on standby because the lootbox quickly turns to the Antlion, which tries to pull you with shifting sands on its side. If you let it pull you to the center, you take a lot of damage. So make sure you take a little damage from Antlion and turn immediately after you touch it.

Once you’ve taken some damage, immediately start climbing out of the pit by using your reserved energy and avoid going back to Antlion. Before attempting this, you can have an Energy drink or a Lollipop, which gives you a lot of energy to pull yourself out of the pit. If you have a friend on standby, make sure to take their hand and come out safely to escape from the Antlion attack. Once you do that, you’ll get the Megaentomology Badge immediately for your daring endeavor. 

Avoid hitting the cactus near you as its thorns stick to your body and deal damage to you, making it harder for you to absorb any damage. I died near the cactus many times, so another way around them is to ask your friend to take out the thorns to decrease the status effect.

Once you finish your run in PEAK, the Megaentomology Badge also gives you a free face scar customization option as a reward, similar to hats, which proudly showcases your bravery to face the Antlion attack and make it out alive to tell the tale to other stranded people.
