How to get Radiant Aura in Halls of Torment

A strong debuff to have.

Halls of Torment lets you blast through waves of undead enemies through different dungeons called Halls. Several classes lead the charge with a variety of abilities that you can acquire in these Halls. One of the more potent abilities is Radiant Aura, and this is how you can get it.

Radiant Aura is one of 18 different abilities in Halls of Torment. Like other abilities, Radiant Aura is acquired by defeating an Elite enemy or a Boss. You could also get it through a Scroll of Mastery that can be picked up at one of two random spawn locations every time you start a new Hall run. However, unlike other abilities, you have to meet a few prerequisites before you can get it.

First of all, you need to unlock the Cleric, a class that isn’t available from the start of the game. You have to complete a few starting quests and unlock some upgrades to strengthen your character. When you feel ready, defeat The Lich in the Haunted Caverns and complete your run to unlock the Cleric.

Now that you have the Cleric as a part of your playable roster, complete a few runs with the class. When you manage to deal a total of 500,000 magic damage to enemies in a single run with the Cleric, you should trigger the False Blessing I achievement.

Unlocking this achievement will unlock Radiant Aura as a playable ability.

Using Radiant Aura in Halls of Torment

By default, the Cleric’s attacks have a chance to inflict Fragile and Affliction, debuffs that increase the incoming damage that affected targets will take from direct attacks and damage effects, respectively. Combine this with Radiant Aura, an ability that casts light on a group of enemies, splitting its damage evenly between the number of enemies, and you have a great Elite-killing spell to play with.

Every ability has up to three upgrades, two of which can be selected per run. This is what you get with Radiant Aura.

  • Punitive Light: Launches an additional attack that applies Fragile/Affliction.
  • Sacred Flame: Fires an additional attack that applies a stackable burn effect.
  • Echoing Light: Damaged enemies have a chance to affect nearby enemies.

Additionally, Radiant Aura can be upgraded through four masteries, each adding new effects to the ability.

  • Radiant Aura Mastery I: Gains Strength and Force trait upgrades.
  • Radiant Aura Mastery II: Gains the Sacred Flame upgrade.
  • Radiant Aura Mastery III: Gains Haste and Might trait upgrades.
  • Radiant Aura Specialist: Gains the Echoing Light upgrade.

As is with any ability in Halls of Torment, Radiant Aura is not a guaranteed upgrade that you will receive every run. Play the Cleric to increase your odds of acquiring Radiant Aura through a Scroll of Mastery.
