Over 12 million copies were sold globally in three weeks. And as of March 31, that number has reached 13.4, according to Bandai Namco’s earnings report.

More copies have undoubtedly been sold up until today, and some fans of the game are now wondering if that number has already reached 15 million.

Elden Ring also remains in the top 15 games on Twitch, even over two months after its release. With a massive amount of hours to complete the game and high replay value, the game can offer up to 100 hours of gameplay.

Three weeks after its release, the game surpassed over half the number of copies sold by the license of Dark Souls.

The sequel of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series has succeeded in appealing to a wider audience by mixing its Souls formula with new elements for players.

“Much effort was placed into creating Elden Ring so that we could exceed the expectations of our fans worldwide,” Bandai Namco CEO Yasuo Miyakawa said in the first sales report. “In like manner, we will continue our efforts in expanding the brand beyond the game itself, and into everyone’s daily life.”
