Should Fortnite players be able to customize the color of lights on the Ragnarok skin?

Fans want to deck out the tier 100 skin with different colored lights.

In the last season of Fortnite: Battle Royale, players who reached a certain level and tier could change the colors for the popular Omega and Carbide skins. What if that ability came back for some of the coolest skins of season five?

A Reddit user created images of the Ragnarok skin with different colored lights, making the character radiate in blue, purple, red, and green. This prompted Fortnite design lead Eric Williamson to respond to the post, asking how players would be able to unlock different colors.

Many fans jumped in with their suggestions. Some said there should be a kill goal or a certain amount of wins, while others simply said there should be a certain XP benchmark set in order to earn a new color of lights.

For the Carbide and Omega skins in season four, players could change the color of lights after they reached level 80 and tier 100 in-game. It’s unknown why something similar couldn’t be done with the Ragnarok skin, which has quickly become a fan-favorite.

The skin can already be upgraded, with new cosmetic items of Ragnarok’s battle gear being added when specific challenges are completed. The same can be done for the Drift skin, which was also one of the first skins added in the new season.

While there isn’t any confirmation that light customization will be coming to the Ragnarok skin, the response of an Epic employee may give a lot of fans hope. And when there are people wanting to play the game more and maybe spend a little bit more money, it’d be surprising if Epic didn’t have something in store.
