To wish the Bus Driver a Happy Birthday in Fortnite, you must queue up in any battle royale match and press B on your keyboard or Down Arrow on your controller’s D-Pad while on the bus. It is the same button you’d use to bring out the emotes wheel in the game. Make sure you stay on the bus while you press the button, or you won’t be able to wish the Bus Driver. You might already be in the habit of thanking the Bus Driver to level up your accolades and earn experience points to get new rewards. If you continue to thank the Bus Driver, it will wish the Bus Driver and count toward your overall progress of the accolade, so it’s twice the benefit for a single action.

To complete the birthday quest, you’ll have to wish the Bus Driver seven times. You can only do it once per match, so you need to play and press the button to complete the quest while playing the game.
