How to get and use the Storm Claws in Fortnite

This Super season of Fortnite brings endless fun with new superhero items from powerful gauntlets to buffed Sprites. The latest addition to the weapons roster is the Storm Claws, a beastly weapon found only by using Haylee Skye’s Pom-Poms. Find out below how to get and use the Storm Claws in Fortnite right now.

How to find Storm Beast’s Pom-Poms in Fortnite

The Storm Claws in Fortnite are also known as Storm Beast’s Pom-Poms, an epic rarity item available to use from June 18, 2025. You can find Storm Beast’s Pom-Poms in regular and rare chests, at Academy Stands, in the Academy Tech Lab bunkers, and rarely as floor loot. You can also purchase the Storm Beast Pom-Poms from Haylee Skye for 400 gold.

You can find Haylee Skye at Pumped Power to the northeast of the map. She not only sells the Storm Claw ability, but you can also hire her as a heavy specialist, an NPC who will follow you around and throw explosives at enemies. We would recommend trying to find the Storm Beast’s Pom-Poms at Academy Stands or in chests first, and save your gold for other things.

How to use Storm Claws in Fortnite

To use the Storm Claws ability, you have to equip and activate the Storm Beast Pom-Poms. Once activated, you transform into the Storm Beast and can run, leap, and attack.

The power has limited use, and you can see how much power you have by checking the bar in the bottom left corner of your screen. This bar depletes only while you are using the attack power, making it a lot of fun to leap and sprint around the island as the Storm Beast without using up the power.

To use the powers, the controls show on the left side, as is the case with all other Fortnite weapons, showing how to Storm Slam, perform a basic attack, Leap, and exit the power.

• Transform into the Storm Beast when the Pom-Poms are equipped.
• Use the Storm Slam by holding down the button, aiming at enemies on the ground, and then pressing again to slam into an enemy below.
• Use the basic attack to claw and slice at enemies in a furious melee attack.

The Storm Beast mode also gives you some extra shield to help you as you explore what this power can do!
