How to find and use a Mod Bench in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4

The Mod Benches in Fortnite are a great way to fine-tune your weapons and make them hit harder to win those clutch moments in battle royale matches.

In one of the week two quests in Fortnite, you need to visit these Mod Benches and upgrade your firearms using gold. If you’re not sure of the best places to visit and easily upgrade your weapons using Mod Benches to boost your firepower, we’ve got you covered.

All Fortnite Mod Bench Locations in Chapter 5, season 4

The Mod Benches in Fortnite are located inside underground bunkers, and you can’t access them immediately when the matches start. You have to wait till the fourth circle forms around the island, as the yellow light flashes and the door to the bunkers opens for you. Apart from using the Mod Bench to upgrade your weapon, you can also loot rare chests, pilfer high-rarity firearms, and harvest heaps of gold to buy NPC services. 

There are currently nine places where you can find a bunker and use the Mod Bench inside to enhance your weapons. These places are:

• West of the Underworld 
• West of Grim Gate
• South side of the Raft
• Crossing the river south of Nitrodome
• West of Mount Olympus 
• South of Reckless Railways, toward the desert biome
• North of Reckless Railways, between Doom’s point of interests 
• East of Doomstadt near the roads
• West of Doomstadt in the forest

While most of these places are closer to major points of interest, your best bet to get into these bunkers is to land in Reckless Railways or Doomstadt, as both of them have two bunkers near them. After landing, looting up, and fighting enemy players to eliminate competition, make your way to the nearest bunker and use the Mod Bench to upgrade your weapons. 

You can’t mod mythic weapons or abilities, but you can enhance normal weapons to give them buffs like improved recoil and scopes to help you win battles. Modding your weapon is 75 gold per upgrade, so it’s quite affordable. If you ever find yourself short on gold, make sure to break gold biscuits and collect the gold for your upgrades to get yourself kitted up.

These underground bunkers also make a lot of sound and alert players nearby, so you might get uninvited visitors to your peaceful bunker. Make sure to get your upgrades quickly and be prepared for a fight with any player who is trying to contest your Mod Bench.
