The legendary creature Klombo makes its debut in the LEGO Fortnite Lost Isles update, and if you can find one scouring the new biomes, you can tame it and use its abilities to explore hard-to-reach areas.
Klombos are large purple dragon-like beings found in the new Lost Isles biome and are native only to specific regions. There’s no guarantee you can find one, so let’s help you prepare for your journey.
Where to find Klombo in LEGO Fortnite
LEGO Fortnite‘s Klombo are located in specific Lost Isles biomes. They dwell in native lagoon habitats, which aren’t easy to find. The Lost Isles has a lot of different biomes, such as floating islands and mountains, but look for a biome located close to water, like the ocean.
There aren’t any tombs or particular areas to find them, either. A Klombo appears randomly, and it was only by chance I came across mine after exploring several biomes. There doesn’t appear to be anything you can do to increase your chances of finding a Klombo; instead, you need to travel around until you happen to come across one.
It’s a docile creature, so as long as you don’t attack it, it won’t harm you. You can tell if a Klombo is hostile if it glows orange.
How to tame a Klobo in LEGO Fortnite
To tame a Klombo, you need to feed it a Klomberry, a new food type only found in bushes in the Lost Isles biomes.
I was able to tame a Klombo by going up to its mouth and feeding it one berry, but the taming period doesn’t last forever like other animals. After a while, Klombo stops listening to you or following you, and you need to feed it another berry to keep it on your side, or else it runs off, or another player can tame it instead.
Once tamed, Klombo has multiple uses. You can ride it for a quick mount to get you across areas. You can have it vacuum up items and resources for you while riding it. Its charge attack can roam around the map quicker than most buildable vehicles. Lastly, you can have it launch you in the area to reach high-up areas like the Lost Isles floating mountains.
It’s a bit annoying as if your world is online at all times and other players are playing, you might come back to find your Klmbo gone and need to go out then and find another one, or see where your old one ran off to, to tame a Klobo all over again.
