An Iron Spider skin is swinging into Fortnite—and it looks awesome

Hype levels are through the roof for Fortnite Chapter Five, season four due to another huge collaboration with Marvel—and everyone’s favorite web swinger is returning.

Fortnite has a long history of collaborating with Marvel, and Spider-Man has taken center-stage on several occasions with several skins, including variations of the hero in the form of Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen.

Spider-Man’s long comic book history and regular outfit changes mean there’s a huge database of costumes Fortnite can use. A familiar look is leaked to be coming this season—with an Iron Spider skin found by data miners.

The Iron Spider look first appeared in the comics in the 2006 Civil War miniseries, which saw Peter Parker publicly reveal his identity. Tom Holland then wore it in the MCU in Infinity War.

The costume differs from the usual attire Spider-Man wears as it provides additional armor and has four spiked arms attached to his back. In Fortnite, it seems these arms will be a Back Bling in the bundle.

Epic Games hasn’t confirmed full prices and release dates for the Iron Spider bundle, though the images show it’s set to include the skin itself, a back bling, a pickaxe, a wrap, and a guitar to use in Fortnite Festival.

Iron Spider will be among a host of Marvel skins appearing in Fortnite Chapter Five, season four. The battle pass includes Gwenpool, Shuri, War Machine, Captain Jonesy, Peelverine, and Doctor Doom.

Fortnite players can also expect previously released Marvel skins to return to the store. The recent exclusivity changes mean the skins featured in the battle pass may be available for purchase in the future.
