How to get Golem Fist in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

A fancy new way to punch your enemies.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree introduces several new weapons of varying types to the base game. One of the rarer weapon types is Fist weapons, and the DLC introduces a new option to the arsenal: the Golem Fist. This is how you can acquire the weapon.

Unlike Legendary and Remembrance weapons in Elden Ring, the Golem Fist is not a guaranteed find. This weapon is a rare drop you can only find by killing Golem Smiths in a specific location in Shadow of the Erdtree. To find the Golem Fist, make your way to Taylew’s Ruined Forge.

But finding this place can be tricky if you don’t know where to go.

Getting to Taylew’s Ruined Forge

Taylew’s Ruined Forge is located deep in the Land of the Tower region in the Realm of Shadow. This area is directly northwest of the Shadow Keep but at a lower level. When you cross the western bridge from the Shadow Keep to get to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, you should be able to see Taylew’s Ruined Forge below.

To get here, you must first activate the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace at the lowest level of this region. If you haven’t found this Site of Grace, you can get here by going through a tunnel northeast of the Moorth Ruins and continuing on the path northwest through a second tunnel.

From this point, make your way northeast and up the path to enter a forested region. Then, keep going north until you find Taylew’s Ruined Forge and enter it.

Farming the Golem Fist

Once you’re in the Forge, progress through the area until you come across the Golem Smiths. These enemies are highly resistant to physical damage and have a lot of health, making them difficult to take down. If you have access to alternate damage types (e.g. Fire, Lightning, Holy) or effects like Hemorrhage and Frostbite, you should be able to defeat them quicker.

But taking down one of the Golem Smiths does not ensure you will get the Golem Fist. Since it is a random drop, you will have a better chance of getting it if you have a high Arcane stat or equip items that boost Item Discovery, like the Silver Scarab talisman.

While you’re down here, you can also pick up the rare Smithscript Weapons. There are three of them available here: the Smithscript Shield, the Smithscript Greathammer, and the Smithscript Axe.
